About the Refinery
Dangara Refinery is located in the Free Economic Zone “Dangara”, Dangara District, Khatlon Region, Tajikistan. The occupied area of the refinery is 35 hectares. The first phase includes an atmospheric and vacuum plant with a capacity of 500 thousand tons / year, a bitumen oxidation plant with a capacity of 150 thousand tons / year, a loading and unloading railway station with a total length of 3 km, as well as an unloading plant for oil products with a capacity of 1.2 million tons.
All refinery equipment was ordered and manufactured to the highest standards from the best manufacturers of such equipment in China. The refinery uses a modern main central control system from the well-known company SUPCON (Zhejiang Supcon Technology). Installation of equipment and construction work were carried out according to the standards of China Petroleum.
The refinery is the country’s only modern, large-scale refinery, filling the national gap in Tajikistan and solving Tajikistan’s energy security. The construction of the project is carried out by PetroChina Dushanzi Refinary Construction and PetroChina Jilin Bei Chemical Construction. The main equipment suppliers are all the top three manufacturing companies in the same industry in China (such as Wuhan Donghai Petrochemical Heavy Equipment Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Kinmen Energy Equipment Co., Ltd., Jiangsu Yanxin Technology Co., Ltd., Changzhou Zongyan Heating Furnace Co., Ltd., Liaoning Hengxing Pump Co., Ltd., etc.). The entire plant is designed by Sinopec Group's top Luoyang Ruize Design Institute.
Auxiliary facilities of the refinery include: 60 m3/h wastewater treatment plant, 1000 t/h water cooling plant, 300 m3/h compressed air and 100 m3/h nitrogen air separation compressor, 20 t/h steam power plant , an electrical distribution substation for 2828KW, a tank farm for crude oil and products, the total capacity of which is 154 thousand cubic meters, as well as components for receiving and sending crude oil and petroleum products, 2 fresh water and water storage tanks for preventing and extinguishing fires with a capacity of 5000 cubic meters, a central chemical laboratory, a central control panel, 3 (24 ton) fire engines with a fire station component, an administrative building of the enterprise, a multi-purpose building, a hostel building, a specialized railway station 3 km long for loading and unloading crude oil, an oil pipeline gallery 2 km long. At all of the above facilities of the refinery are accepted by the state interdepartmental commission, and fully comply with production requirements.
